(1) Except than the District
hunting license, the licenses as pursuant to the Rules 10, 11 and 12 may
issued by the chief or any other officer assigned by the Government of
Nepal for that job.
(2) The license shall only be issued, if the person applying for
any type of hunting license posses the valid license as pursuant to the

prevailing laws, for the arms and ammunitions (weapons) that has to be
used to kill those wildlife or birds which are desired to be hunted.
(3) The chief shall determine (fix) the annual quota of the wild
lives that has been allowed to be hunted in a hunting reserve, and the
license shall only be issued not exceeding the quota, which has been
fixed as such.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), (2) and
(3) the Government of Nepal, if deemed necessary for the proper
protection of any wildlife and birds, may reduce the number of wildlife
or birds that has been allowed to hunt in any district, hunting reserve or
any other area or may suspend the issuance of such license.
